The Law Society presented Mark Stephen Shera with a law license in 2002.

The Legal Practice Tribunal found Shanan guilty of the following misconduct.

• Post-dated mortgage to avoid Stamp Duty penalties
• Misled Office of State Revenue
• Delayed in filing with Office of State Revenue
• Engaged in unsatisfactory professional conduct

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Queensland Bar punished Shanan by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and a $5,000 fine.
