Attorney Harry Ainsworth of Portland, OR; ethical gremlin

The state of Oregon provided Harry Ainsworth with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from Boston University Law School.

The Oregon State Bar found Harry guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Allowed statute of limitations to toll on client’s claims
  • Failed to respond to client communications
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Failed to withdraw representation when required to do so
  • Failed to communicate with opposing counsel re: court ordered arbitration
  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
  • Continued client representation despite obvious conflict of interest
  • Caused actual and potential injury to his client
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Harry by gifting him with a complimentary 1-month suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2016) Harry practices at 1033 SW Yamhill Street in Portland, Oregon.
