Attorney Monique Bracey of Plano; ethical misfit

The state of Texas presented Monique Jurae Bracey with a law license in 2008 after she graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) Law School.

A panel of the 366th District Court of Collin County found Monique guilty of the following misconduct.

• Neglected legal matter entrusted to her
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Monique!)

As a consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Monique by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.
