Dan Stein says, Immigrants Destroy Desirable Neighborhoods

During a recent (late June 2016) appearance on the Kevin Miller comedy radio show, Dan Stein president of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) decided to again go on the attack against immigrants.

FYI: It should be noted that Danny is yet another loser lawyer that learned early on after graduating from law school just how difficult it would be to earn a dishonest living practicing law. Therefore, Danny opted to go into the second most ethical profession (used car sales man No. 1), politics and political punditry.

During his bigoted rant, Danny told Kevin’s low I.Q. listeners:

• “It’s so important not to take for granted the quality of life you have, because when immigration is out of control – usually it’s fueled by commercial interests, but when it’s out of control, it happens very quickly, and the first thing that happens is, you know, the zoning rules get decompromised and suddenly your housing stock is overcrowded.”
• “People here illegally, in order to compete, have to live in, you know, multi-family housing, they have to crowd into overcrowded housing conditions so they can work really cheap. That, in turn, affects your schools, the schools in turn affect, you know, the quality of the tax base, people who want to stay in that school system, that ripples throughout and pretty soon, what was a nice, safe neighborhood is no longer a safe neighborhood.”

Danny continued on by saying:

• “Often, the very factors that make your community desirable can lead to its being destroyed effectively by the fact that it is desirable and the fact that people take it for granted.”
• “Immigration control is the granddaddy of all national zoning ordinances, really, because if you don’t have effective perimeter control, you really can’t take care of your future.”

In a lame effort at levity, Danny said:

“If immigration levels are too high and people coming in essentially kind of challenge the status quo, cultural status quo, then pretty soon, we find ourselves assimilating into their ideas and not the other way around.”

A highly desirable neighborhood is synonymous with (a) an expensive neighborhood, and (b) a neighborhood made up almost entirely of white folks. I can assure that Danny and those of his ilk aren’t thinking about purchasing a home in and/or near downtown Detroit or Cleveland.

The truth of the matter is that the vast majority of immigrants are renters who live in large urban areas like Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Philadelphia. Other than small cloistered and extremely expensive neighborhoods in the aforementioned cities, there is no such thing as a “desirable neighborhood” in large urban areas.

And lastly, Danny’s claim that we (honkies) will be assimilating immigrant ideas and/or customs doesn’t pass the involuntary laugh test. Asians constitute the largest immigrant increase over the past five or more years. The vast majority are from China, the Philippines, India, Vietnam and Korea. If Danny’s asinine claims of assimilation were true, then American are or will soon be changing their dietary habits by eating any of the following delicacies.

• Philippines: “Balut” – developing bird embryo boiled and eaten from shell
• China: live “monkey brain” soup (stops young girls from monkeying around)
• Vietnam: “squid teeth” popular after school snack
• India: “Eri Polu” boiled leftover silkworm cocoon
• Korea: “Sannakji” Live octopus (not to be confused with Sushi, its actually alive)
