Attorney Daniel Bennett of Springfield, OH; slacker

The state of Oh io presented Daniel L. Bennett with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from Ohio State University Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme found Danny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Neglected client matters
• Misused client trust account
• Failed to cooperate with Bar investigators (Up Yours, said Danny!)
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Engaged in a conflict of interest
• Communicated with person he knew was represented by counsel
• Failed to deposit client funds in interest bearing account
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to perform required monthly reconciliations of trust account
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Improperly withdrew client representation w/o court approval

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Danny by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Danny.
