Attorney Alan Pendleton of Hopkins, MN; congenital liar

The state of Minnesota presented Alan F. Pendleton with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from Drake University Law School.

The Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility found Alan guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was serving as a District Court judge.

  • Failed to maintain residency in juridical district he was serving
  • Knowingly made false statement in affidavit of candidacy [perjury]
  • Made false statements re: removal as judge

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney/Judicial Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Alan the Liar by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

Because attorneys in Minnesota are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Alan was never criminally charged with perjury.

As we speak (ca. June 2016), Alan practices in Hopkins, Minnesota.
