Barrister Shane Rohde of New Zealand; drunken convict

The Law Society of New Zealand presented Shane Alan Rohde with a law license in 2008.

The found New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal found Shane guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Shane was convicted of driving under the influence (DUI and attempting to evade the police. Shane sped away from the police, and during the case reached speeds of up to 120 kilometers per hour in a suburban area.

When stopped, Shane refused to identify himself as the driver, having left his car, and thus put his colleague and employee who had been in the car, at risk of prosecution.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Zealand Disciplinary Tribunal punished Donnie by gifting him with a complimentary censure. He was fined $10,000 and ordered to pay costs of $5,798.

As we speak (ca. June 2016), Shane practices with Lateral Lawyers Limited at 396 Great South Road in Auckland, New Zealand.
