Barrister John Lee of Australia; serial tax cheat

The Law Society presented John William Lee with a law license in 1982.

The Bar Association of Queensland found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Johnny was convicted of failing file income tax returns and Business Activity Statements for eighteen consecutive years (1991 through 2009).

Johnny was sentenced for his criminal conduct as follows:

  • Fined $1,300 regarding 3 years of failing to file
  • Fined $2,500 regarding years of failing to file
  • Fined $900 regarding 1 year of failing file
  • Fined $6,000 regarding 6 convictions for failing to file

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Queensland Bar punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and a $5,000 fine and costs of proceedings.

As we speak (ca. June 2016), Johnny practices at 239 George Street, in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
