Judge Amanda Sammons of Jacksboro, TN; Judge Roy Bean Wannabee

FYI: Judge Roy Bean was an infamous Justice of the Peace and saloon owner in Texas who called himself the "The Law West of the Pecos." Roy was also affectionately referred to as the Hanging Judge.

The state of Tennessee presented Amanda Hathcock Sammons with a law license in 2004 after she graduated from the University of Tennessee Law School.

The Tennessee Board of Judicial Conduct has charged Judge Sammons with engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Altered official court records
  • Challenged another judge’s authority
  • Ordered children removed home without authority to do so
  • Refused to dismiss charged against those wrongfully accused
  • Forced residents to pay a drug testing fee without legislative approval

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Amanda by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. May 2016), Amanda remains sitting Campbell County General Sessions Judge in Jacksboro, Tennessee.
