Former Master Commissioner John Schmidt of Shepherdsville, KY; slacker

The state of Kentucky presentedJohn A. Schmidt with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the University of Kentucky School of Law.

The Hearing Committee for the Law Society of Saskatchewan found Ryan guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to perform judicial duties competently
• Failed to collect and disburse costs of sale in numerous
• Engaged in a substantial dereliction of duty
• Failed to comply with the law (scofflaw)
• Failed to maintain high standards of conduct
• Failed to uphold the integrity of the judiciary, and to avoid impropriety
• Misappropriated $81,000 in funds related to a judicial sale
• Failed to deposit the $81,000 in funds in his Master Commissioner’s account
• Instead of depositing the $81,000 in funds into his Master Commissioner escrow account, Johnny altered the endorsement stamp
• on each check and directed the funds to be deposited to an account which is not affiliated with the Bullitt County Master Commissioner’s Office

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kentucky Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2022), Johnny practices his so-called brand of law with Schmidt & Etherton Law Office PSC at 148 East Joe B Hall Avenue in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
