Judge Alan Simon of Spring Valley, NY; Judge Roy Bean Wannabee
FYI: Judge Roy Bean was an infamous Justice of the Peace and saloon owner in Texas who called himself the "The Law West of the Pecos." Roy was also affectionately referred to as the Hanging Judge.
The state of New York presented Manuel Lawrence Real with a law license in 1968 after he graduated from the Brooklyn Law School.
The New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct found Alan guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was sitting as Justice of the Spring Valley Village Court and the Ramapo Town Court in Rockland County.
The Judicial Commission has recommended that Alan be removed from the bench as a consequence of his egregious misconduct.
Because Judicial Misfits in New York are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Judge Simon was never criminally charged with perjury regarding his false testimony before the Judicial Commission.
As we speak (ca. May 2016), Simon continues to sit as a Justice of the Spring Valley Village Court and the Ramapo Town Court in Rockland County. He also practices his brand of law at 2 Crosfield Avenue in West Nyack, New York. |
