Attorney Kristian Beckett of Duvall, UT; ethical troll

The State of Utah presented Kristian Beckett with a law license in 2013 after she graduated from the University of Idaho School of Law

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme found Kristian guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to hold all client’s settlement funds in client trust account
• Commingled client funds with funds which not the client’s property
• Failed to explain matters to his client to the extent reasonably necessary to permit her to make informed decisions about her representation
• Failed to fully inform client of circumstances where her informed consent was required
• Failed to keep client reasonably informed about the status of all post-settlement matters

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Kristian by gifting him with a complimentary 28-day suspension of his law license.
