The state of West Virginia presented April D. Conner with a law license in 1996.

The Lawyer Disciplinary Board found April guilty of the following misconduct

• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said April!)
• Found guilty of contempt by Supreme Court
• Failed to timely file appellate notice on client’s behalf
• Failed to abide by Supreme Court order to file client’s appeal brief
• Failed to appear for contempt hearing as ordered by Supreme Court
• Fined $1,500 for contempt of court

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the West Virginia Supreme Court punished April by gifting her with a complimentary 90-day suspension of her law license.
