Judge Charles McGee of Reno; drunken convict

The State of Nevada presented Charles Michael McGee with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from the University of Denver Law School.

The state Commission on Judicial Discipline found Charlie guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Charlie pled guilty to driving under the influence (DUI). He was sentenced to 48 hours in jail, ordered to pay $695 in fines and costs and directed to attend professional counseling meetings.

An unreliable source indicated that Charlie opted to attend counseling at the Mel Gibson Institute for Boozers in Beverly Hills, California.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Charlie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2016), Charlie continues to sit as District Court Judge in Reno, Nevada, but only when he’s sober
