Attorney Jeffrey James of Lagrange, IN; lying loser

The state of Indiana presented Jeffrey Alan James with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from Valparaiso University Law School.

The Indiana Disciplinary Commission found Jeff guilty of the following misconduct.

• Knowingly made a false statement of material fact to a tribunal
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Lied to court that client’s five prior DUI convictions in Kentucky had been expunged in order that client would face misdemeanor DUI charge rather than felony

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2016), Jeff practices with the Jeff James Law Office at 115 West Spring Street in Lagrange, Indiana.
