Barrister Anthony Morahan of Auckland, NZ; ethical misfit

The Law Society of New Zealand presented Anthony Bernard Joseph Morahan with a law license in 1977.

The New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal found Tony guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to properly employ a solicitor
  • Acted recklessly for client w/o instruction from solicitor
  • Misled (lied) to trial court
  • Falsely stated that Mr. Thompson was his instructing solicitor
  • Used solicitor’s name in court documents w/o solicitor’s knowledge or consent
  • Knowingly breached the Intervention Rule

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Tribunal punished Tony by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. March 2016), Tony practices on Symonds Street in Auckland, New Zealand.
