Attorney William Griffin of Colorado Springs; thieving liar

The state of Colorado provided William Thomas Griffin with a law license in 1997.

The Colorado State Bar found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Repeatedly spent client funds that didn’t belong to him
  • Repeatedly misrepresented to client he was in process of refunding fees that he knew that he wasn’t lawfully entitled too
  • Repeatedly moved money among his trust, personal and business accounts to cover his issuance of checks that could not and would not clear
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2016), Billy practices with The Griffin Law Firm at 303 East Cascade Street in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Lastly, it should be noted that because Attorney Misfits in Colorado are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Billy was never criminally charged with grand theft.
