Attorney Maureen Wesley of Burnaby, BC; ethical dwarf

The Law Society presented Maureen Joyce Wesley with a law license in 1982.

A Disciplinary Hearing Panel found Maureen guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to take necessary steps to have order issued in family law matter
• Failed to advise client of risks of not entering order
• Failed to disclose to client costs incurred to settle terms of order
• Client suffered damages due to failure to enter order

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee of the Law Society of British Columbia punished Maureen by gifting her with a complimentary $3,000 fine.
