U.S. Appeals Judge Laurence Silberman of DC; greedy loser

The state of Hawaii presented Laurence Hirsch Silberman with law license in 1961 after graduating from Harvard University Law School.

In 1988 former President Reagan was duped into nominating Larry to a seat on the Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit. Larry didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney available. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

Assumed senior status in 2000, which means he was only required to work 10 hours per week to collect a fully judicial salary, which was $149,900 in 2000 and has increased to $211,200 in 2016.

Larry is a greedy loser who refused to retire on a annual pension of $149,900 plus a Cadillac health insurance policy for the balance of his life even though he was eligible to do so in 2000. By refusing to retire when he was 65-years-old, Greedy Larry was able to realize an increase of his annual salary of $61,300 by taking on senior status.
