Attorney Virginia Story of Franklin, TN; ethical dwarf

The state of Tennessee provided Virginia Lee Story with a law license in 1985 after she graduated from the YNCA Law School.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Virginia guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Virginia failed to inform the court of her client's prior criminal conviction. Virginia represented the client in Williamson and Davidson County. At the Davidson County sentencing hearing, she failed to inform the court of the Williamson County conviction.

The client's probation was revoked in Davidson County. Since the court was unaware at the time of sentencing of the Williamson County conviction, the court pursuant to the Rules of Criminal Procedures, had to require the client to serve the Davidson County sentence consecutively with Williamson County rather than concurrently.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Virginia by gifting her with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. April 2016) Virginia practices at 136 Fourth Avenue South in Franklin, Tennessee.
