Attorney Samuel Perkins of Memphis; repeat offender

 

The state of Tennessee provided Samuel Lee Perkins with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from Antioch Law School.

 

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Sammy guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Sammy’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Sammy!)
  • Failed to file divorce actions for nearly three years
  • Failed to promptly refund unearned divorce retainer fe

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Sammy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

 

Sammy’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Neglected clients’ divorce and personal injury cases
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep clients informed of status of legal matters
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Sammy by gifting him with a complimentary 45-day suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. March 2016) Sammy practices at 145 Court Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee.
