US Judge Gregory Van Tatenhove of Frankfort, KY; idiot, lifetime porker

The state of Kentucky presented Gregory Frederick Van Tatenhove with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Kentucky Law School.

Former President George Bush was duped into nominating Greg to sit as a U.S. District Court judge for the Eastern District of Kentucky in 2005. Greg didn’t receive the appointment because she was the most qualifed attorney in the greater Frankfort area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

Greg has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough since he received his law license (1989 to 2016). If it weren’t for a government check, Greg likely would have been limited to working as a greeter for the local Walmart store.

To further prove that he is a total idiot (my apologies to idiots) and a dyed-in-the-wool creationist sympathizer, Greg recently (January 2016) entered an asinine ruling ordering that the state of Kentucky give millions in tax subsidies to a Noah’s Ark them park owned by a creationist ministry.

The Christian them park is actually owned and operated by right-wing lunatic and degenerate liar Ken Ham who has made millions duping people into believing his laughable theories on creationism vs. evolution. In fact, Kenny was provided with a thorough ass-whooping when he lamely attempted to debate Bill Nye, the science guy. The theme park run by Ham has refused and continues to refuse to comply with Kentucky’s request not to engage in discrimination in its hiring at the part. As a consequence of Van Tatehove’s conduct, these religious nutcases will receive at least $18 million in tax subsidies, all of which will be paid for by the hard working citizens of Kentucky.

When Ham applied for a tax subsidy the state denied it citing fears the state constitution did not permit tax incentives to be used to “advance religion.” The state was also deeply concerned that Ham “intends to discriminate in hiring its employees based on religion.” This led Ham to sue the state based on loony First Amendment theories. Ham’s lawsuit led to Tatenhove’s asinine ruling wherein he stated that Ham’s religious based theme park was lawfully entitled to tax breaks just like those received by the Kentucky Speedway and several distillery visitor centers including Maker’s Mark. What kind of idiot would equate Ham’s religious park with car racing or whiskey distillers?

Idiot Greg goes one step further in support of the $18 million tax subsidy by claiming that Ham is lawfully entitled to it even if he wants to engage in employment discrimination. Put simply, the Idiot is claiming that he has the right to tell the state of Kentucky that it must allow for employment discrimination in the state based on religious beliefs. Of course Greg’s ruling flies directly in the fact of the plain language of the Kentucky Constitution.

Unfortunately, the good folks in the Lexington area can look forward to this ideological driven buffoon from issuing even more laughable and unconstitutional rulings in the future. Since he’s only 55 years-of-age (D.O.B. 1960) it’s likely he’ll be on the bench for another twenty or more years.
