Judge Chris Oldner of McKinney, TX; ethical dwarf

The State of Texas presented John Christopher “Chris” Oldner with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Texas Tech University Law School.

An ethics complaint has been filed against Chris that charges him with engaging in the following misconduct, all of which involves state Attorney General Ken Paxton.

  • Made disparaging statements about AG Paxton
  • Failed to recuse (remove) himself when required to do so
  • Potentially prejudiced the proceedings
  • Overstepped discretion in sending grand jurors home
  • Improperly entered grand jury room and asked prospective jurors if they wanted to serve
  • Chris’s wife disclosed the grand jury indictment of AG Paxton to a county commissioner before it had been made available to the public

It should be noted that Chris is attempting to dupe the voters into electing him to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, which is akin Supreme Courts in other states although it is limited to ruling on criminal matters.

All that’s left now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Judge Oldner by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. January 2016), Chris continues to sit as a 416th District Court judge in McKinney, Texas.
