Attorney Gary Ajello of Yorktown Heights, NY; serial offender

The state of New York presented Gary Ajello with a law license in 1983.

The Appellate Division, Second Department found Gary guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
  • Disbursed funds to clients with negative trust account balances for the client
  • Failed to properly identify and/or specify attorney trust account
  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to timely answer complaint in litigated matter
  • Judgment granted against client due to failure to file answer to complaint
  • Engaged in numerous client escrow violations

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Gary’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received one (1) complimentary admonition and one (1) complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Appellate Division, Second Department panel punished Gary by ordering that he be disbarred.

Several years later, the comedians at the Appellate Division, Second Department had the chutzpah to reinstate Gary’s law license. Apparently, they were of the belief that he was entitled to earn a dishonest living practicing law.

As we speak (ca. January 2016), Gary practices at 2232 Brookside Avenue in Yorktown Heights, New York.
