Attorney Jack Woodward of Victoria, BC; ethical gremlin

The Law Society of British Columbia provided Jack Woodward with a law license in 1978.

The disciplinary authorities of the Law Society of British Columbia found Jack guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Jack found it acceptable to write dozens of checks back and forth from two personal accounts between January and October of 2011 when he knew there weren’t sufficient funds in one or both accounts to cover the amounts — and did so to hide the fact there wasn’t enough money to satisfy all the checks.

Jackie wrote over 400 checks between an account at his law corporation and an account for the Harbour House Hotel on Salt Spring Island, a property wherein he is a shareholder.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society’s disciplinary board, punished Jack by gifting him with a complimentary 1-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (January 2016), Jack practices with Woodward & Co. LLP at 844 Courtney Street, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
