The state of Washington presented William E. Pierson Jr. with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from the University of Washington Law School.

The Washington State Bar found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to safeguard client property
• Failed to comply with rules regarding trust accounts
• Failed to keep accurate balance of trust accounts
• Wrote several checks exceeding balance in his trust account
• Failed to promptly withdraw his portion of earned fees
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Failed to reconcile check register balance

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington State Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.
