Attorney Shawn Farris of St. George, UT; moronic loser

The state of Utah presented Shawn T. Farris with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from Brigham Young University Law School.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme found Shawn guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
• Violated or attempted to violate rules of conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Failed to respond to discovery requests
• Failed to advise client that court dismissed his case
• Failed to advise client that court ordered fees to be paid to opposing party

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Shawn by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
