Attorney Mark Emmett of Midvale, UT; ethical dwarf

The state of Utah presented Mark R. Emmett with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from Brigham Young University Law School.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Violated or attempted to violate rules of conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
• Failed to decline or terminate representation when required to do so

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year term of probation.

As we speak (ca. December 2015), Mark practices at 7336 Union Creek Way in Midvale, Utah.
