Attorney John Herbison of Nashville; ethical leprechaun

The state of Tennessee presented John Edward Herbison with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of Tennessee Law School.

The Board of Professional Responsibility found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to file notice of appeal on client’s behalf
  • Delayed seeing post-conviction relief on client’s behalf
  • Failed to communicate to client services to be performed
  • Client unable to contact Johnny re: errors in his legal analysis as it related to seeking executive clemency

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2016), Johnny practices at 1900 Church Street in Nashville, Tennessee.
