Barrister John van der Zanden of North Shore City, NZ; lying loser

The Law Society of New Zealand presented John Alan van der Zanden with a law license in 2002.

The New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in gross negligence
• Brought legal profession into disrepute (What’s new?)
• Misled (lied) to Court of Appeal in two affidavits
• Engaged in utterly reckless conduct

As a consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2014), Johnny practices at 75 Corinthian Drive in Albany, North Shore City, New Zealand.
