Attorney M. Joy Jelte of Sandy, UT; ethical dwarf

The state of Utah presented M. Joy Jelte with a law license in 1989 after she graduated from the University of Utah Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Joy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to promptly provide client with written fee agreement
• Failed to provide client with invoices for her legal services
• Failed to explain matter to client to extent necessary to permit client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Joy!)

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the South Carolina Supreme Court punished Joy by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2015), Joy practices at 140 West 9000 South Street in Sandy, Utah.
