DA John Healey Jr. of Richmond, TX; lifetime porker, ethical elf

The state of Texas presented John F. Healey Jr.  with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the South Texas College of Law.

Since receiving his law license Johnny has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past thirty-three years (1982 to 2015).

The State Bar of Texas has charged Johnny with the following misconduct.

Because Judicial Misfits in Washington are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Freddy the Thief was never criminally prosecuted for defrauding the city of Seattle for a period of ten years.

Johnny’s misconduct revolves around the manner in which Johnny’s office handled the notification of a man that evidence used to convict him on a drug charge had been tested by an employee in the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) crime lab who was later found to have produced questionable results in numerous cases. (Rod Evans, Fort Bend News)

According to the ethics complaint, Johnny delayed notifying Jacob Estrada of results from an investigation into the work of now-fired DPS employee Jonathan Salvador. The complaint  states that in accordance with Rule 1.06W of the Texas Rules of Disciplinary Procedure, the “acts and omissions of Respondent [Johnny] constitute professional misconduct.”

In addition to the ethics charges, Johnny could be criminally prosecuted for concealing exculpatory evidence from Mr. Estrada.

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Johnny by the enablers for Attorney Misconducts sitting on the Texas Supreme Court.

As we speak (July 2015), Johnny remains in his job as the Fort Bend County District Attorney in Richmond, Texas.
