The Irish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

• Overcharged child abuse victim in relation to a compensation award paid to the victim by the Residential Institutions Redress Board (RIRB) – cheater
• Failed to provide client with any documentary evidence of work done in relation to the RIRB victim award
• Negotiated client’s costs with RIRB without discussing the amount offered by the board with his client
• Breached Solicitors Agreement Act 1994 by deducting fees from his client’s compensation award without prior written authority

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Discipline Tribunal punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary censure and a fine of 5,000 Euros ($5,490 US Dollars).
