Attorney Frederick Callaway of Denver; ethical gremlin

The state of Colorado provided Frederick M. Callaway with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago.

The Colorado State Bar found Freddy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Filed complaint on client’s behalf but failed to serve it on defendant
  • Failure to serve defendant caused court to dismiss client’s lawsuit
  • Negligence led to statute of limitations tolling on client’s legal matter
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Freddy by gifting him with a complimentary 6- month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. July 2015), Freddy practices at 44 Cook Street in Denver, Colorado.
