Attorney Julia Soininen of Falls Church, VA; convicted thief

The District of Columbia presented Julia A. Soininen with a law license in 1995 after she graduated from George Washington University Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Julia guilty of the following misconduct.

• Convicted of misdemeanor theft
• Convicted of driving under the influence (DUI)
• Convicted of possession of a controlled substance
• Engaged in conduct involving deceit, dishonesty, fraud or misrepresentation

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the DC Court of Appeals punished Julia by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 30-day suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on Disciplinary Counsel didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Julia.
