Attorney Jose Serpa of Boston; greedy loser

The state of Massachusetts provided Jose L. Serpa with a law license in 1995

The Board of Bar Overseers found Jose guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter,Jose accepted an appointment through the Suffolk County Bar Advocate

Program, acting on behalf of the Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS), to represent a defendant, Damian McNulty, on a criminal complaint.

The agreement with the bar advocate program Jose was not entitled to receive any compensation from the Defendant and would accept any payment from CPCS as full payment for his legal services.

However, contrary to his agreement with the bar advocate program, Greedy Jose solicited and received a fee from Mr. McNulty and also received payment for his fees from CPCS.

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Bar Overseers punished Jose by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2015) Jose practices with the Serpa Law Office at 20 Park Plaza in Boston, Massachusetts.
