Attorney James Roberts Jr. of Nashville; ethical dwarf

The state of Tennessee provided James D.R. Roberts Jr. with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

In an appellate brief he filed, Jimmy found it acceptable to falsely accuse the trial judge as being “evasive and untruthful,” had “conducted unnecessary hearings and entered untruthful and harassing orders in order to cover-up” its own improper conduct; and made improper findings against him “to deflect attention from its [court’s] own illegal acts.”

The Court of Appeals ruled that Jimmy made “unwarranted accusations impugning the integrity” of the trial court and “baseless and improper assertions” designed to deflect attention from his own “flagrant misconduct in the trial court.”

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. June 2015) Jimmy practices at 1700 Hayes Street in Nashville, Tennessee.
