Rep. Louie Gohmert (TX): Today’s “Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner
Congratulations to….
Rep. Louie Gohmert (TX) Today’s “Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner \ This isn’t the first Award presented to Louie. In the past, he has been the recipient of twenty-six (26) Awards in various categories. Those awards are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.
In an never ending effort to further cement his status as a Raving Lunatic and Aspiring Standup Comedian, Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas decided to speak to the issue of whether the Iraq War was a mistake. Towards that end, Louie did an interview with Virginia talk show host and comedian John Fredericks.
In his interview (ca. May 2015), Louie said he opposed an effort put forth by Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia to pass a new Authorization for the Use of Military Force (AUMF) in the fight against ISIS. Louie went on to say:
Louie went on to say:
Louie finished off his standup routine by saying:
Louie’s comments about negotiations for a “status of forces agreement” in Iraq are pure BS. I was personally involved with officials in South Korea in the early 1960s while they tried to hammer out the status of forces agreement which wasn’t ratified until 1967. The fault in Iraq was the Iraqi government and had nothing to do with Obama or his administration.
It is hard to believe that Louie was a District Court judge in Tyler, Texas for ten years before he duped the voters into electing him as a member of Congress. Given his ongoing comedy routine in DC, I suspect the citizens of Tyler were happy to get this Certified Buffoon (my apologies to Buffoons) off the bench.
Congrats Louie; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Standup Comedians”; you are far too humble.
