Attorney Catherine Dean of Osceola, AR; ethical misfit

The state of Arkansas presented Catherine Palmer Dean with a law license in 1996 after she graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Cathy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to advise client she had terminated representation
  • Failed to provide client with new contact information
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client advised of status of legal matter
  • Failed to comply with client requests for information
  • Failed to take reasonable steps to protect client’s interest after termination
  • Failed to expedite client litigation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Cathy by gifting her with a complimentary caution.

As we speak (May 2015), Cathy practices with the Dean Law Firm PLLC at 311 West Hale Avenue in Osceola, Arkansas.
