Attorney Ivan Zackheim of Portland, OR; ethical misfit

The state of Oregon provided Ivan S. Zackheim with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from the University of Oregon Law School.

The Oregon State Bar found Ivan guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Improperly asserted right to retain client’s file after being discharged
  • Refused to forward client file to new attorney
  • Failed to deliver $2,000 in settlement funds to client
  • Failed to respond to opposing counsel communications
  • Failed in duty owed to client to handle funds properly
  • Misconduct caused actual injury to client
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Ivan by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. May 2015) Ivan practices at 5550 SW Macadam Avenue in Portland, Oregon.
