The state of Illinois presented John R. Weinberger with a law license in 1994.

The Disciplinary Commission found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Neglected a breach of contract action
• Failed to communicate with client about lawsuit
• Attempted to make agreement with client wherein he would refund portion of legal fee in exchange for release from any malpractice liability
• Failed to advise client to seek independent counsel regarding release from malpractice liability
• Neglect led to client’s lawsuit being dismissed

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. June 2015), Johnny practices with the Law Office of John R. Weinberger at 2201 N. Street NW in Washington, DC.
