Attorney John McCristal of Victoria, AUS; ethical leprechaun

The Victorian Law Society presented John Hugh McCristal with a law license in 1996.

The Victorian Civil & Administrative Tribunal found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Improperly deposited funds into Office Account instead of depositing the trust money into his trust account upon receipt
• Without reasonable excuse caused deficiency in trust account
• Implemented scheme that allowed him to appropriate funds for his own use and benefit
• Breached fiduciary duty owed to clients
• Failed to apply moneys received from clients for purpose for which they were supplied by the client

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Victorian Civil & Administrative Tribunal punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and ordered to pay a $25,000 fine and legal costs to the tribunal of $6,715.

As we speak (ca. June 2015), Johnny practices at 17 Parkview Suite, Princess Highway in Traralgon, Victoria, Australia.
