Judge Richard Bradford III of Vicksburg, MS; ethical goblin

The state of Mississippi presented with a law license in 1975 after she graduated from the University of Tennessee Law School.

The Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in improper ex parte (one-sided) communications with a litigant
  • Acted in contravention of court rules
  • Dismissed to took other dispositive action w/o notifying prosecutor
  • Ordered clerk to issue arrest warrants against two women even though no criminal charges had been filed against them
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in willful misconduct in office
  • Asked prosecutor to dismiss traffic tickets (ticket fixing)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Mississippi Supreme Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension from the bench.

As we speak (ca. April 2015), Dick continues to sit as a Warren County Justice court judge in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
