Attorney J. Bryan Jackson of Cedar, UT; ethical elf

The state of Utah presented J. Bryan Jackson with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the University of Utah Law School.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Bryan guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct by assisting or inducing another to do so or through the acts of another
  • Failed to communicate with client for almost 18 months
  • Failed to file complaint regarding client’s case until two and a half years after he was hired by the client

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Bryan by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2015), Bryan practices at 95 North Main Street in Cedar, Utah.
