The state of Alabama presented James Robert Bentley with a law license after he graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law.

The Alabama State Bar Association found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct

• Failed to perform work client hired him to perform
• Failed to act with due diligence
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
• Violated or attempted to violate rules of conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 91-day suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Jimmy.
