Attorney Carl Freman of Mobile; ethical gremlin  

The state of Alabama presented Carl Everett Freman with a law license after he graduated from the Jones School of Law.

The Alabama State Bar Association found Carl guilty of the following misconduct

• Acquired interest in property that was adverse to his client’s interests
• Engaged in a conflict of interest
• Failed to explain conflict in writing to client
• Client had to employ counsel for return of $100,000 promissory note, $7,000 for a vehicle, and $8,200 for furniture previously acquired by Carl

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Carl by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2015), Carl practices at 160 South Cedar Street in Mobile, Alabama.
