Judge David Hodby Jr. of Bessemer, AL; ethical gremlin  

The state of Alabama presented David James Hodby Jr. with a law license after he graduated from the Miles College School of Law.

The Alabama State Bar Association found Dave guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place before he duped the voters in November 2010 to elect him as a Judge for the 10^thJudicial Circuit in Bessemer, Alabama.

• Client unable to make contact with Jimmy for at least six months
• Insurance company attempted in vain to make contact with Jimmy for over one year
• After insurance company tendered settlement offer to Jimmy on behalf of his client they heard nothing back from him
• Failed to act with due diligence
• Failed to communicate with client
• Negligence caused statute of limitations to toll on client’s claim resulting in Insurance company closing file on client’s case

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Dave by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2015), Dave continues to sit as a 10^thJudicial Circuit Judge in Bessemer, Alabama.
