U.S. Judge Miranda Du of Reno; Dufus

The state of Nevada presented Miranda Mai Du with a law license in 1994 after she graduated from the University of California, Berkeley Law School.

In 2011, President Obama was duped into appointing Miranda as a U.S. District Court judge for the District of Nevada. Miranda didn’t get the appointment because she was the most qualified attorney in Nevada; she received it because she had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

Miranda was assigned to hear a case involving Marshak, which resulted in her issuing a preliminary injunction prohibiting Marshak from using “The Platters” mark in connection with any vocal group.

As a result of Miranda’s grant of an injunction, Marshak appealed her decision to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. The issue before the court of appeals was whether the likelihood of irreparable hard was established rather than assumed by Judge Du.

The court of appeals ruled that Judge Due failed to make any factual findings that would have supported a likelihood of establishing irreparable harm. Therefore, the court of appeals reversed Judge Ho’s erroneous preliminary injunction.

Of course the cost of this unnecessary appeal was borne by the taxpayers. Judge Du doesn’t much give a damn how many times she’s reversed. A federal judge cannot be impeached for being an idiot; therefore, Judge Du doesn’t have anything to worry about.

As we speak (ca. August 2014), Du the Dufus (DD)  continues to sit as a District Court Judge in Reno, Nevada.
