Magistrate Judge Heath White of Estancia, NM; thieving loser

In one mater, Heath was recently (ca. May 2019) charged with several felonies. The criminal complaint accuses Heath of embezzling more than $20,000 from taxpayers during his time as sheriff.

It is alleged that Heath retained tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of equipment that belonged to the sheriff’s department. Search warrants filed his case by investigators accused Heath of keeping items such as cameras, surveillance equipment and drones and many other items that were the property of the sheriff’s department.

Investigators also believe Heath may have used public money to buy guns, vehicle parts and other equipment for himself. (KRQE)

If convicted, Heath faces up to 17-years in prison. It shouldn’t take long before Heath cops a plea to reduce the amount of time he must spend in prison.

As we speak (ca. June 2019), Heath is no longer sitting on the bench and will remain in that position pending his likely conviction.
