Judge Steve Guthrie of Alamogordo, NM; potty mouth bully

The Judicial Standards Commission found Judge Guthrie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Parked car near or in front of Ms. Coyazo’s home to prevent her grandchildren from playing basketball
• Engaged in willful misconduct in office
• Failed to act in dignified, patient and courteous manner
• Created the appearance of impropriety
• Failed to comply with City of Alamogordo’s water rationing guidelines
• Eroded public confidence in judiciary due to nine (9) police complaints being filed against him

When Ms. Coyazo told Stevie, she thought he had parked illegally in front of her house, he said:

• “I don’t give a shit; I can do what I want.’
• Called Ms. Coyazo a “fucking bitch.”
• “You don’t know all the trouble you are asking for.”
• Called Ms. Coyazo’s grandchildren “fucking little niggers” as they rode their scooters past Stevie’s house.

Stevie then made and/or uttered the following threats at Ms. Coyazo and/or members of her family.

• “If I hear that basketball bounce one more time I’m going after Chico’s disability.” (Chico is Ms. Coyazo’s husband who is on disability from the Veterans Administration)
• Drove past the Coyazo home and pointed his fingers in the shape of a gun

This VA threat led Ms. Coyazo to contact the Veteran’s Administration to see if Stevie had the power to interfere in her husband’s monthly receipt of disability checks.

Stevie’s wife Kim Guthrie approached Ms. Coyazo at a restaurant and made the following statements.

• “How are you doing bitch?”
• “I’m going to pray for you, bitch.”

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Mexico Supreme Court punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. May 2019), Stevie continues to sit as a judge of the Otero County Magistrate Court in Alamogordo, New Mexico.
